Anyone here use Netflix? I'm pretty peeved about the new increase. I'm not sure if I want to keep using it or not, I don't watch the DVDs in the mail very often but I like the option in case there's one I'd really like to see. And the streaming is awesome for watching seasons of TV, but the selection really blows. A 60% increase seems excessive, even though it would still be cheaper then renting a few movies a month I'm not sure if want to keep paying for something that seems to go up in price whenever they feel like it. Sad

I use Netflix, and I am NOT happy. We have the cheapest plan, I think it's around 11 bucks. I don't watch any tv untill late at night, after the kids are asleep, and I get 5 or 6 movies a month. The kids watch a lot during the day. Netflix has a lot of kids' programming on. I can't get rid of the streaming, because I don't want them watching most of the crap that's on cable. All of the parenting magazines and such say that kids don't learn anything from educational tv, but my 2 year old knows all of his letters from watching WorsWorld and SuperWhy. So I either have to pay almost twice as much, or give up renting any movies for myself. So I guess I'll give up the movies, and hope that enough people cancel to make them rethink things.

Whoa wait, there's an increase? I did notice that our bill went up by a dollar or so, but didn't think anything of it.

We have the option with 2 DVDs [which we lost in a move =\] and instant streaming. Anyone got a link so I can read up on this?

Yeah that is on top of the last increase too! This time it's going to be like double to get the one dvd and unlimited streaming plan. I'll probably go back to that, I did upgrade to two dvds out but I haven't felt like watching that many dvds lately. If I don't cancel :-P

Oh WOW.

Yeah, gonna talk to my husband. We haven't really used Netflix in awhile, so might just cancel it. That's a shame. Netflix made a wrong move with that.

I am SO ticked about this!!! I would cancel my membership all together if it weren't for the fact that we don't have cable and it's pretty much the only TV my kids watch.

phxflurry, Hulu could be an option. They have some free stuff, and then they have Hulu Plus which you know is just streaming content, right around the same price I think. Not sure if they have added capabilities to game consoles, blu-ray players or TVs like Netflix has, but it wouldn't hurt to check it out.

Not sure at this point whether we're going to cancel the entirety, but we will be cancelling the DVD portion. Only way I'd really want to keep the streaming is if they actually add more content, like things that are offered on DVD. However, I don't think they'll do that.

I love Hulu. One thing I hate about Netflix is all the streaming movies are old! Whenever I want to watch a new movie I never can! Rolling Eyes

Spychip, I sort of feel the same way, but I love some of the older movies. We have a lot on our instant cue, mostly of older movies, documentaries [which I watch], stand-up comedy, but I did notice that they added the animated movie "Tangled" which I have yet to see, so I'll be watching that sometime.

We cancelled our old plan of two discs and unlimited streaming, and just kept the instant streaming. I refuse to start paying more just to get discs. I'll go to a Redbox for discs if I want them. Stupid Netflix.

Tangled is adorable! It's my favorite newer animated movie.
